For this project, wood carving artist mio hashimoto visited the Kaiyukan Aquarium and conducted thorough research, including sketching the creatures and speaking to the keepers about their personalities and characteristics, before creating sculpture that would become the prototypes for the figures. The lifelike sculptures, which capture the characteristics of each animal, are a must-see.

The lineup includes five species: whale shark, manta ray, red coati, rockhopper penguin, and ringed seal.
