"ART IN THE POCKET," a figure line based on the concept of "small art that fits in your pocket," will be releasing the latest zoo-exclusive capsule toy, "mio hashimoto 's sculpture Nasu Animal Kingdom 2."
This series is a figure line that focuses on high modeling ability and quality, aiming to allow people to enjoy the charm of sculpture itself in palm-sized pieces. This work is based on sculpture created by wood carving artist Mio mio hashimoto, and once again features popular animals living at Nasu Animal Kingdom as figures.
For this project, Hashimoto actually visited Nasu Animal Kingdom, carefully sketched the animals, and interviewed the zookeepers about their personalities and characteristics. He then came face to face with the animals to create the wooden sculpture that would become the prototypes for the figures.
The designs accurately capture the characteristics of each individual, giving them a warm feeling as if they could come to life at any moment, and the finished product is as if they were captured in a living form.
The finished figure is made by directly molding the wood sculpture rather than 3D scanning it, faithfully reproducing details such as the texture of the wood and the carving marks.
This piece captures the charm of sculpture, fitting for the series name "ART IN THE POCKET."

The lineup includes five species: Tsushima wildcat, bald eagle, Pallas's cat, Amur tiger, and ring-tailed lemur.
